My Story
Hi! I’m Sol
My name is Sol Le Roux (they) and I am a knitting retreats host and knitwear designer living in the South-West of France where I am operating Le Château de Parançay, a lodge and small retreat centre with my partner Tom.
My love for knitting came from my mother, who taught me to knit when I was a child and my grandmother, who was a professional seamstress and taught me the value and joy of making clothes.
My passion is to help knitters pause, connect and grow within their craft and themselves.
I’ve been hosting the Knit Pause Retreats since 2018 which gather knitters from all over the world looking to deepen their relationship to their craft and share an abundant space of connection and self-expression.
My values are Inclusion and Social Justice, Celebration, Creative Expression, Connnection, Community Care and Radical Self-Care. As a queer business owner I am very mindful about creating spaces that are as diverse and accessible as possible.
